Lawn Basketball
Lawn basketball is the combination of basketball and horseshoes. The objects is for children to throw the shaped objects into the baskets placed some feet apart (depending on age) in the grass . Each object would be shaped differently, which means the players have to strategize on how to throw the object so it lands in the basket!
- Children would have to set up the baskets, and then throw the differently shaped objects into the receptacles, moving from one side to the other as all the objects have been thrown to the one side
- This toy is based on projectile motion.
- The objects to be thrown would have to be made out of a durable material that can withstand outdoor conditions, most likely rubber. The receptacles would have to also be durable and able to be placed into the ground. This would not cost all that much, but would be more costly than the other toy concepts. The objects would be safe as long as they were used to throw into the receptacles, not at each other. I would suggest an age level of 8 and up for this toy.
