BowTech 200
Simplified compound bow designed to teach young children the principles
behind a real compound bow.
- Instead of storing potential
energy in pulleys, simple coil springs are used.
- Energy is stored in the
bending of the bow and in the springs. The user also must hold back
against all the force.
- Demonstrates different ways
to store energy and utilize it all for one action
- Teaches marksmanship and
basics of archery safety
- Bow will not be strong for
safety and cost reasons
- It can be made out of cheap
plastic, small springs, and string. The arrows will be foam and mostly
harmless.
- Safe for ages 6+ with some
supervision
