Wind Up

The Wind Up is a wind up toy with a base shaped like home plate on a baseball diamond. Extending from the base is a tube which looks like a tee. The toy uses springs and a gearbox to launch small baseballs into the air. These baseballs would be on an loose elastic cord to assure that they come back into the tube.
The children would play with this toy by winding up a knob on the shaft of the tube that would tighten the spring until it is fully tight. The spring would then cause the ball to shoot up into the air and back into the tube.
The cost of this toy would be minimal because of the inexpensive parts. The toy would be as durable as almost any other windup toy. The only durability problem would be the loose elastic cord that could get stretched and eventually snap.
