TOYS TOYS TOYS!
TOY #1: SHAPE RACE
Principle: This toy is designed to teach children about

How it works:
The "Shape Race" is a game. Two children would have gameboards that look as the pictured. It is basically two pieces of clear plastic with a space between surrounded by a frame.
1.To start, each child take a liquid more dense than water, that is colored and fills the panel to the first line.
2. Next the children are given the same number of assorted shapes, and have to place them in to the frame. Ideally, they will be learning to place the shapes so that they have the largest amount of smooth edges, and no crevasses for fluid to get caught in so the fluid flows fastest through the maze.
3. Then the slotted divider is placed in at the top, and the panel is filled to this divider with water
4. The top is placed on the game.
5. At the same time, both kids flip the panels over, and the player whos colored liquid fills the bottom first, WINS!!!
Construction Cost:
This game would be relatively inexpensive. It involves 4 small plastic plates, a plastic frame, colored plastic shapes, water and a denser liquid. I feel the game would sell for somewhere around $12.00
Durability:
Because all the materials would be made from plastic, I feel it would be very durable. However, since I designed this for older children, I don't see extreme durability to be an issue.
Safety:
I set the age on this toy at 10+. This is due to small pieces and dealing with liquids. If this is adhered to, I find the toy very safe.
