Concept #1: Through a Hoop
The main idea behind this toy concept is to have a toy that is placed on a spring-loaded launching pad that projects the toy into the air to the other end of the base. What is nice about this toy is that all of the parts are interchangeable. As seen in the picture below, the lever is pressed and a toy lion is projected into the air through a hoop of fire and into the pool. With this toy however, the lion can be substituted for another toy (i.e. one that is more suitable to a girl) and so can the hoop. This will allow a large diversity of parts to be created for all different kinds of children's interests that will all work with the device. The physical principles that are seen with this design are that of gravitational forces and projectile motion. (Ages 4-10)
