Principle: The same fun-loving Chinese Handcuffs that were won at fairs and such by generations past have been given a new spin by making them out of rubber to make them more durable and trickier to get out of.

Interaction:  Same as normal handcuffs.  Put your fingers (or your friends’, little sisters/brothers, etc) inside and then try to remove them. First of all, it’s a mind puzzle, as it is counter-intuitative.  The harder you pull to get free, the more firmly the device grips.  Only when you push towards the center can you escape.  It’s a great party favor toy that has just been given a new twist.

Safety and Cost:  Durability should not be an issue, as it would be made of rubber.  In fact, durability is the entire motivation behind this spin on an old product.  Cost would go up from those cheap ones that used to be sold, however, it would still be very inexpensive to make and produce.  Safety should not be an issue, as it would be too big to swallow, and would be composed of rubber, a notoriously safe material.
