Antimagnetic Chess

This checkers set will differ from standard magnetic checkers sets in that the pieces will be repelled from the board rather than attracted, causing them to hover above the board. Each square will have a set of magnets to control the piece above it. The user will manually move his or her pieces against a human or computer opponent using a magnetic pen with a push-button switch on it that causes it to temporarily change its polarity, for simple touching of pieces with the pen to move them. The child should learn about the properties of magnets.
