Being able to see myself giving presentation was the best way to learn how to improve presentation skills. I learned that I tend to rely on props too much instead of focusing on the audience. I also learned that I appear much more comfortable in front of the class if I am prepared to some extent such as if I memorize a few notes the night before. This doesn't seem to work as well if I do it a few hours before the presentation. It works much better if I do it the night before. At first, the idea of being recorded made me a bit nervous, but by the end of the semester it was nothing. I think I learned to be more bold by frequent presentations.
