Bike Watergun

Concept 1

The first concept of this toy is the transfer of energy. The child will transfer the kinetic energy of his pedaling to potential energy in the water tank.

Concept 2

The second concept of this toy is the pumping mechanism. This toy's pump will have a clear casing so that the child can view the piston pumping and see the valves in motion.

How the toy will be used

This toy will be attached to the bicycle and will be used to soak the child's friends while he or she is in motion.

Construction Cost

This is a more complicated toy and will therefore be more expensive. The materials will have to be more durable since they will be subject to pressure and shock, which will also increase the cost.

Durability

The gun barrel and trigger will be made out of plastic, since these will be subject to the least amount of pressure. The tank will be made out of strong plastic, and the pump will be made of metal and plastic. The use of these materials will make this toy durable enough to take the stress of everyday use and the shock of collisions or dropping the bike.

Safety

This toy will be for older children. As long as the children using this toy rides his or her bike safely and with the appropriate safety equipment this will be a safe toy and be fun for ages 9 and up.
