Rapid Fire Rubber Band Gun

Concept 1

The first physical concept is storage of energy. As the child pulls back the rubber band to load the gun, he or she will realize that the energy he uses to load it will be released when it is fired.

Concept 2

The second concept involved in this toy is a lever release mechanism. This mechanism will be in plain view in this toy so the child will be able to fully understand it.

How the toy is used

The child will load the toy and then shoot it by winding the crank. It is a simple idea but will be more enjoyable to the child because the toy is rapid-fire.

Construction Cost

This toy will be very inexpensive to make. It will mostly be made out of plastic, with the exception of some metal shafts and springs.

Durability

This is a very durable toy. The weakest part of this toy is the band release mechanism, but this part of the toy is located on the inner portion of the barrel and will not be vulnerable to damage if the toy is banged against something or dropped.

Safety

This toy is safe for children as long as they use their safety goggles which are provided with the toy.
