In the egg drop project, the major constraints facing us were a hideous time crunch, and a marked lack of materials. These factors showed one of the final major engineering skills that I learned in this class: Evaluation of diminishing marginal returns. Our team decided that we only had time to fully explore one avenue for making our egg drop the highest point score. Based on the score card, the nost valuable thing was use of material. So, we used only a transparency and a paper bowl. Unfortunately, the time constraints made assembly without tape somewhat difficult, and the craftsmanship on my part was probably not the best. Needless to say, we made a bad assumption that the egg would not break with our low-material design. We were wrong. Which brings us to the second lesson we learned with this project. Always test your design in a low risk environment-don't wait till the egg is strapped in to question it's safety - you could be next.

Great Expectations...
