What I learned:
In the Green Acres project, I implemented a great deal of what I ahd learned from previous projects. The cardboard techniques from the Cube activity were essential for making a holder for the eggs, and the construction of the cardboard shock absorbers came from other people's Garfield projects. My own problems with inconsistent sizing of cans on my Garfield project gave me the idea for using rubber bands to tighten the holder down on the eggs, no matter what size. I also discovered that I was much more confident when giving my presentation because of both the amount of time I had spent in front of the class already as well as my general interaction with the people in the class. I learned a lot about Green Design; I did not realize that is could be as general as the class displayed in their designs. One final note: chicken wire is a great shock absorber but a terribly difficult building material.
