Okay, I learned more than that. Our design used simple cusioning in a rigid container, and, even though the egg was damaged, it was not completely destroyed as were all of the other designs. Once again, a very basic idea proved to be one of the best. The more complex, aerodynamic designs relied too much on the intricacies of their structure and materials, and failed quickly when presented with the huge variables involved in a 30-foot drop to pavement.
