===Problem===
Our mission is to design an egg holder that can protect an egg dropping from
the classroom window and to get the egg holder to hit the target on the pavement.
We were given a list of materials we could use. Each material costs us points
and we had responsibility of minimizing the cost of material.Design and build
procedure should not take longer than 45 minutes. We worked in a team of 4 people;
1 Structual Engineer, 1 Materials/Cost Engineer, and 2 Industrial Designers.
===Solution===
We agreed that making a parachute for the egg would be the best solution. So
we started discussing what materials to be used and we finally decided to use
a Giant Eagle bag to make a parachute and use a paper bowl to hold the egg.
We also used bubble wrap attached at the base of the cup to reduce force when
it's landing. However, it turned out not very successfully. The parachute we
made was not strong enough to slower the dropping motion of the egg holder.
I think if we worried less about the cost and decided to use more plastic bag
to make the parachute bigger, our holder might work better. However, our holder
did hit the target.

===Things
I learn===
1. When we want to design
something, we cannot only think of the way to make it work, we also have to
concern about cost of materials. We will have to be wise about how to minimize
the cost while maintaining good performance of our design.
2. To make a good parachute, we should leave some space so that the air can
flow in to raise the parachute against the gravity force.
3. When we working on this excercise, I noticed that protecting the egg was
the thing we concern about the most. Then the second thing is to minimize the
cost. We didn't discuss much about how to get the holder hit the target. But
after we test our design, it turned out that it acheived a great performance
on hitting the target, and we could save some money (We didn't use it all, but
we have very small amount left), and we could not protect the egg.
