Concept 1: Baby Mobile

Brief Description	The purpose of this baby mobile is to help a baby in developing the concept of cause and effect. The footpad attached to the end of a baby’s crib allows the baby to control the speed of the airplane mobile through increased frequency of hits. The more the child hits the footpad the faster the little airplane will go, resulting in a wider flight circle for the plane. Therefore through interaction with this toy a baby learns that actions of theirs can affect their environment.
Physical Principle	This toy is based on the concept of circular motion and angular velocity. The radius of the circle of motion is directly proportional to the velocity of the object.
Cost of Construction	Assembling parts and electrical wiring make for a moderate cost of construction.
