• this toy is based on the fact that white, contrary to many people's beliefs, is made of all the colors as can be seen by passing a white light through a prism
• they top itself could be made in many shapes and sizes, most likely from a cheap and durable plastic which would have some give to it in case it happens to drop on someone's foot it would not do much harm
