Water Bottle Pump Rocket

Rather than a full on toy, this concept is a DIY kit that would turn any ordinary water bottle into a rocket. This is done by drilling a small hole in the cap of a water bottle and attaching the valve. The water rocket then sits upon the included launchpad. After filling the bottle with air, the rocket launches at the touch of a button!

Key features include:

• Threaded valve and nuts to secure valve to cap
• Glue-on fins and nose cone provided for stability in flight
• Launchpad includes grippers for stabilizing rocket before flight

Thoughts on construction:

• Valve would be a Schrader valve, similar to the valves found on cars and bicycles
• Fins and nosecone would be made of light plastic as to impede flight as little as possible
• Durability of this toy would depend on the skill of the people putting together the kit. As such, it would be marketed towards kids 10 and older. The components by themselves would be rather sturdy
