Steps leading up to the manufacturing process

• CAD design of object and save in .stl file format

Create a model of your object in any CAD program. Your CAD model should have closed surfaces that comprises an enclosed volume. Save the file in an .stl format. This is an option in many popular CAD programs, such as AutoCAD, and ProEngineer. The .stl file format slices the object into finite element layers which can be interpolated by the SLA.



• Designer has complete control

  The designer has complete control over the prototype. Everything is machine interpreted, since the SLA runs directly from the instructions from the .stl file created by the designer. Since the manufacturing of the part is controlled by the computer, the parts are produced with very high accuracy.
