"Bonkers Basketball":
Description:
This game is played by two teams with one to three players one each team. Each team take turns trying to score by bouncing a marble sized basketball off their sides trampoline into the opponents basket. While the offensive player is shooting, the defensive player gets to bounce another ball twice the diameter of the offensive players ball off their trampoline and try to knock the offensive players shot out of line. Each team takes only one shot, and then it is the other teams turn.
Priniciple:
The principle will be both the principle of springs (in the trampoline) and the physics of a boucing ball.
Cost:
The toy would not cost too much to make. The balls would be marble and the rest besides the trampoline would simply be plastic. Most of the cost of the toy would come from the trampolines.
Durabilty:
"Bonkers Basketball" should be a pretty durable toy. The walls around the ouside of the toy will make sure that the balls do not roll away and get lost. Spares of the balls would also be provided just in case balls are lost. The only weak point of game would come from the hoops, but the pole would be made sufficiently thick to hopefully avoid them breaking. As extra precaution, the hoops would be removable and mounted simply by having a holes in the floor of the court that securely holds the bottom of the poles.
Safety:
Save the possibily of a young one swallowing a marble or getting hit in the eye by a rouge shot, the toy is safe. A warning of these hazards would be written on the box in which the toy was shipped.
