Toy Concept 1: The Bow-Based Pogo Stick
Fundamental Principle - This toy is based on the energy storage and return of a bow.
Interactive and Fun - The user will get to enjoy jumping heights and distance far greater than could normally be realized. The base footstand is a replaceable modular piece for more stylish designs than a standard knob.
Durable and Safe - While use of a helmet is highly recommended, the toy itself will be constructed of strong oriented strain fiberglass (bow)and lightweight aluminum (foot/handle bars). The foot bar comes complete with a textured top-lining for control.
How It Works - The rider adjusts the height of the foot/handle bars with the lynch pin located at the top part of the bow. After this, the rider climbs on and hops away.
Age - 10+ because this is not your average pogo stick. The bow-based design allows for much larger returns of energy than a traditional spring based pogo stick, leading to a more matue age recommendation.
Cost - This toy will likely be fairly inexpensive to manufacture, easily making a profit on the current ~$100 market for high-quality pogo sticks.
Durability - The toy will be constructed from strong light-weight materials. It will have a long usage life if treated properly.
Safety - Protective gear should be worn at all times and younger children and stunt devils should have adult supervision.
