Sit 'n' Spin

Every child loves to spin; This toy has been a favorite way to do so for many many years.
It's fun, durable, and safe, how could it get any better...
It could be educational too!!
With my improvement, a child could learn about physics without even trying.
HOW IT WORKS
A child would sit on the bottom platform, and use the center wheel to spin himself around. The child could then press a button in the middle of the center wheel that releases the spokes and allows the wheel to expand and then relock.
The wheel in the expanded position
The wheel is covered in neoprene to protected the child's hands.
WHAT THEY LEARN
By expanding the wheel, the child is forced to sit further from the center of the toy. There, he or she will discover that it is harder to spin himself around the wheel, and also harder to stop himself from spinning. While the child thinks he is just spinning and having fun, he is also in fact learning about angular motion and moment of inertia.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- This toy is suitable for any child who is strong enough to spin himself around the center, yet is also small enough to fit on the bottom platform. This means roughly ages 3 to 8.
- For safety and durability purposes, all exposed parts of the toy are made of plastic, except the center wheel, which is made of metal pieces, but is covered in neoprene.
- The toy would cost approximately $15 to make.
