The elastic-powered propeller plane would demonstrate stored elastic energy and flight. The elastic is loaded by winding the propellor around until it is tight. A string would be threaded through loops attatched to the plane and held or tied at both ends so that it is suspended in the air. When the propeller is released the elastic would unwind itself and spin the propellor, flying the plane forward along the string.

The plane is safe for children ages 8 and older. It should be made out of foam, paper, or balsa wood that would hold its shape but still be very light. Production costs for the plane should be very low.
