Introduction

CNC Machining, or Computer Numerically Controlled Machining, is a fast, high-tech method of creating complex parts with very low tolerances in a short period of time. In addition to being a great way to produce quick prototypes, CNC-Machined parts (of any of several materials) can actually themselves be used in mechanical assemblies. Here is a photo of a CNC mill:

Any Questions?

   How does CNC Milling work?
How do I get a part CNC Milled at Carnegie Mellon?
What materials can be used?
How much does this cost?
What are some limitations?

Show me some pretty pictures!
Where can I learn more?
