Modified Pool

Principle:

This toy is based upon the principles of conservation of energy, momentum, and angles of incidence.

Toy Interaction:

This modified game of pool is to be played without cue sticks.  This is a hands-on game for kids of all ages.  The object is to knock all of your opponent’s balls into the pockets before they get yours.  Instead of having a cue ball, you can use any of your own balls to put in your opponent’s balls.  The pockets have been moved to the locations above for variety.  The size of the table will be smaller and lower to the ground than a normal pool table so that a child can reach anywhere on it without having to be lifted up.  It comes with 5 balls for each side.

Construction Cost, Durability and Safety:

The cost would be less expensive than a regular pool table or even a regular kid’s pool table.  Since there are fewer balls and no pool sticks, it will cost less.  Also, not having any pool sticks will decrease the chance of a child getting poked or injured.  The balls would be made of the same material as regular pool balls so that they will be durable.  They are even capable of withstanding a fall on the ground!
