Description:

Setting the launcher into position the user experiences the resistance that two positively charged magnets create.  Once snapped into place the trigger is pulled which sends the ball flying.  Another proof to the power of magnetism.

 

Construction:

Clear plastic tube with two opposing magnets sliding within and a foam ball.

 

Construction cost:

Simple PVC piping for tube.

Molds for handle grips.

One set of opposing magnets.

 

Durability & Safety:

          The foam ball won’t be able to hurt or be hurt by anyone.  There will be friction in the tube from the launching of the ball.  This friction can be lessened by adding rings to the magnet housing to lessen the surface area.
