yes we extended the deadline on the data parallel special issue until
march 1.  too many people were complaining about the holidays, start of
the semester, etc...

            SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO MARCH 1, 1993

             Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing
       Special Issue on Data-Parallel Algorithms and Programming


     Papers  are solicited for a  special issue  of the  Journal  of
     Parallel and  Distributed Computing on data-parallel algorithms
     and  programming.  Topics  of interest  include  the design and
     analysis  of  data  parallel  algorithms,  the  development  of
     application  specific  algorithms,   and  advances  in  related
     software issues such as programming languages and environments,
     performance  analysis,  and  benchmarking on massively parallel 
     systems.

     Only original  manuscripts  will be considered.   All submitted
     manuscripts  will  be  refereed  according  to  JPDC  standards.
     Please  send  five  copies  of  the  complete  manuscript to one
     of the guest editors by March 1, 1993.
