Notes re Sound Clip
===== == ===== ====

The sound sample uses elements of the Dialog score and script. The wood-
wind sound simulates the MIDI musician; the piano and other sounds are
from notes generated by Cascades II.

The script is file clip.scr; the Adagio score is in file clip.gio.

Sections are identified by letters:

A: The signature phrase, several downward cascades, each invoked by
	'z' at the computer terminal or program change 5. Their execution
	overlaps.

BE: A combination of the theme played by the MIDI musician and a pre-
	programmed event. The former is a random tone row with random
	durations and loudnesses. The latter was generated by playing
	several two-note chords on a MIDI keyboard and capturing the
	resulting parameter set.

H: "Hot keys" when touched by the MIDI musician start a repeating note.

I,J: Responses to three notes from MIDI.

K,N: Responses to four notes from MIDI.

The score in H - N is generally derived from the theme.
