VANCOUVER, B.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 7, 2000--Global Election Systems Inc. (TSE:GSM. - news) today announced the formation of a new company to be known as IntegriVote.com(TM).
Initially, a wholly owned subsidiary of Global, IntegriVote.com(TM) is designed to provide secure Internet-based voting solutions to election jurisdictions around the world. The company, a Nevada corporation, is structured to continuously deliver the most current voting solution to aid and foster the principle of the right-to-vote in democratic nations. Howard T. Van Pelt, President and CEO, said that Global has found the solution to provide the requisite security to protect the sanctity of the ballot box. Meanwhile, the Board of Directors has terminated its negotiations with Brelsh Holdings Inc. regarding a possible merger.
Global also announces the resignation of David H. Brown, Chairman, due to policy differences with the balance of the Board. The Board wishes to thank Mr. Brown for his many years of contribution to the Company.
