I received the file inline in the email body, rather than as an attachment.  Double-click on the .xls file if it is inline.  Perhaps Steve can configure his email client to send files as attachments, rather than inline.

Weird, I see it there plain as rain.  Maybe your mailer doesn't trust
.xls attachments and thinks it's a virus?
