Re: GEMS 1-14-1-6 More success!

I'm hoping that Tari/Tyler/Jane can test the shadow with up to 5 or 6 parties (California will have at least 8) with rotation by congressional, state assembly, supervisor districts, and especially the RTF file input for Spanish for the occupation and party name fields as well.  Thanks

Subject: GEMS 1-14-1-6 More success!

I modified the database I was using before as follows: There are three districts, Jurisdiction Wide, Water Service Area, and Fire Service Area.  Only one report precinct is created.  It has four base precincts, one In Water In Fire, one In Water Out Fire, one Out Water In Fire, one Out Water Out Fire (assigned to the appropriate districts, pretty obvious from the names).  I created a Jurisdiction Wide race as well as a combination of shadow and shadowed races for each of the service areas.  The shadow races are assigned to the Jurisdiction Wide district, the shadowed races are assigned to the respective service area districts.  Obviously, this creates four cards for this one precinct.  I printed two copies each of the four cards (BOD), downloaded memory cards, ran L&A, uploaded results, and printed SOVC successfully.

These materials may also be included in the package we send to Anchorage to show that multiple service area questions can be handled successfully.
