Re: Two precincts out of 488 not in order, BS-4-1-7-1, Create Voter Card screen.

Ken, this is a demo election.  I can set it any way that works.  I did this for the NY politicians in Albany Tuesday and Wednesday and will show it to the election commissioners at the end of the month.

Let me re-word the question.  Why don't they report absentees by precinct?  Do they really want them combined into one reporting precinct?

Expanding the Vote Centre tree view shows Polling Vote Centre and Absentee.  Highlight Polling Vote Centre in the tree view shows the listing of the Vote Centre Election Districts and they are all in order.

This database is supposed to handle optical scan for absentee and touch screen for early and election day voting.

This database was created from Onondaga County's ballots for the election November, 2001.  It is a typical example of a New York county database and used for demo purposes only.

Two questions:

What do you mean by "Polling Vote Centre screen in GEMS"?

Also, do you really mean to have cumulative reportunits for your AVTS?  Is that the way the jurisdiction wants it set up / reported, or is this an oversight?

Pre-release GEMS-1-18-8-1,     Pre-release  BS-4-1-7-1,           R-4,          Cross-Endorse type database,

the first precinct in the Create Voter Card screen in BS-4-1-7-1 is Clay E.D. 18.  It is out of order.  It should be in order with all the "Clay" precincts.  The precinct that should be in first place is in Clay E.D. 18's position.

Database is 1.16 mgb.  Will send upon request.

Two Election Districts out of 488 are not in order in the Create Voter Card screen.  They are in order in the Polling Vote Centre screen in GEMS.  I would like to demonstrate the Create Voter Card next week in Albany.  I can live with the two being out of order.  I thought that if you were looking at the database you might let me know why these two are not in order.  It is not a big deal.
