I am Lu Sun. Currently, I am a research assistant in Human Computer Interaction(HCI), Carnegie Mellon University(CMU), working with Prof. Bruce McLaren. Previously, I graduated from Masters of Educational Technology and Applied Learning Science(METALS) in CMU HCI and I received my B.Eng degree at Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunication(BUPT), where I majored in Telecommunication Engineering.
My research interests include: HCI in learning science and computational social science. My previous experience in HCI spins different aspects around ubiquitous computing, human behaviors analysis, learning science and computation social science. My focus is to combine data mining techniques with learning science theory and social science theory together to:
1) draw new insights from human learning and then use these insights to foster knowledge acquisition and design intelligent system
2) facilitate online collaboration by modeling social roles
