Li-Wei Chen is a Ph.D. candidate in the Language Technology Institute at Carnegie Mellon University, advised by Professors Alexander Rudnicky and Shinji Watanabe. He earned his bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from National Taiwan University in 2019. Li-Wei's research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and speech processing, with a focus on speech synthesis, voice conversion, and speech emotion recognition. His recent work has expanded to explore Speech Language Models and end-to-end conversational systems.
