  Current Projects 

  • 01/2009~12/2011   Research on key techniques of information obtaining based on content-based routing in opportunistic networks, sponsored by NSFC (National Science foundation of China). The project focuses on how to make use of opportunistic networks composed by the huge amount of mobile devices and sensors, to inquire various messages, such as the position of hospital, toilet, the available parking spaces, the messages of discount merchandises, and etc.

  • 10/2009~10/2011 Self healing computer system based on microboot, sponsored by Aviation Science Fund.

  • 09/2009~09/2010  Replaceable computer System, sponsored by Chinese 863 High-tech Program.

  • 05/2008~12/2010   Research on key technology of opportunistic networking for data transmission based on bus, sponsored by Chinese 863 High-tech Program. The project mainly focuses on how to make use of opportunistic networks based on the city vehicles, especially city buses, to transmit various data, such as sensor data, broadcasting information.

  • 01/2008~12/2010   PCNN image segmentation based mobile image coding, sponsored by NSFC; it focuses on image/video compression/decompression using PCNN (Pulse Coupled Neural Networks).

  • 05/2010-06/2011 Gesture recognition  based on mobile platform, sponsored by Nokia Research Center, Beijing.

  • 10/2008-06/2009     Stroke++. Cooperated with Nokia, A new Chinese character input method based on Chinese radicals. Now available on Nokia OviStore.

  • 09/2008-06/2010     Storyboard. Cooperated with Nokia, a pen-based story visualization design tool (story board) on mobile devices. Now available on Nokia OviStore.

  • 10/2005-06/2007     Design and implementation of IP Camera based on H.264. Cooperated with Nokia, based on ARM 9 processor, DSP, and Linux OS, our implemented IP Camera can encode and decode 25 frames(H.264) in D1 resolution.

  • 02/2003-05/2004    Government Procurement Electronic Platform for Guangdong Province. Cooperated with Guangdong Science Park, designed and developed an e-Procurement Platform for Guangdong Province based on J2EE architecture and implemented with JSP, JaveBean / Servlet and EJB.

  • 05/2002-06/2003     Web-Based Financial Information Management System. It was cooperated with Lucent Corporation. Based on Web architecture, the system covers some aspects of financial management.
