This is the lab cluster is where we meet for classes. The Intro Programming Group has a web page showing its general availability as well as its use policies. In years gone by, most students did all of their lab work in Wean 5419. Now that most students have their own computers, the Haberman lab has not been used as heavily as it once was.
When daily classes end, the primary use of this cluster is for general use by intro CS students (15-100, 15-111, 15-113, and 15-200) but sometimes part of the lab is reserved for other purposes. If I know ahead of time, I'll let you know when the cluster is abnormally unavailable.
Whenever the cluster is open, there should be at least two lab assistants available for general assistance. These assistants should have completed all the 15-1xx courses (or their equivalents). They should be able to help you with general questions. However, the lab assistants may not know anything about your particular lab problem.
If you've experienced any problems getting use of a computer or you have had problems with the student staffers, please let me know. Since I'm generally not on campus when the cluster is open for general use, I won't be aware of such problems otherwise.Other Clusters (for Java computing)
Here is what seems to be the current
list; some clusters have both Apple & Microsoft platforms but Microsoft
platforms predominate outside Wean 5419.

Please let me now if you discover that if this table needs to be updated. Updates would be appropriate if any of these clusters a) no longer supports CW or Java; b) becomes otherwise permanently unavailable.
Also, if you hear about another available cluster or if the number of machines in an existing cluster has grown, I'd like to be able to update this listing.
