Regarding tests, you can arrange to take Midterm 1, Midterm 2, and the Final through the Disability Resources Office, where you will get extra time on the tests and also a quiet environment for taking the tests. If you have permission to use Latex or Mathtype or some other package in writing your answers, you will be allowed to do this.
Unfortunately, we cannot offer you this for the Quizzes. The quizzes must be taken in class along with everyone else. We expect there will be 7 quizzes in total. To help you on the quizzes, we can offer the following compromise:
All homeworks are due on Friday at 12:50 p.m. . There is unfortunately no wiggle room on this because we release solutions immediately. We therefore cannot accommodate late homeworks. Please start your homework immediately when it is released (usually 1-2 days before the previous Friday), and use the entire 8-9 days to take full advantage of our daily office hours to help get your homework done. Note that each homework builds on the prior homework.
One way in which PnC is particularly friendly to people with accommodations is that we have a textbook which we follow extremely closely , in order. The textbook is very readable, so if you have trouble taking notes in class, you can always find the material in the book. The book is available both via Amazon ($60) and online. If you need someone to come to class with you to take notes, that is certainly fine, however please keep in mind that you can always take a picture of my filled-in lecture notes after class or during office hours.
