I am a fifth year graduate student. Before coming to CMU, I managed to obtain a bachelor's in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) in May 2005. My research interests include machine learning and applied algorithms. Earlier, I used to work in the area of planning under uncertainty. My boss is Carlos Guestrin :). I am also a member of the Select Lab.

I like most sports and play a lot. I sometimes play ultimate frisbee (for which we maintain a mailing list). Let me know if you are interested in playing ultimate and want to get on the mailing list. These days I'm into running and will be participating in the 2010 Pittsburgh Marathon, as part of AID. Here is a page with more information. I also love watching movies.

I used to be an active part of CMU Indian Graduate Student's Association (IGSA).

Things I am doing right now
Research I am trying to address the problem of information overload in the blogosphere.
