Dear SCS faculty and students: The 2019 JP Morgan AI Research PhD Fellowship program has been announced. The current areas of interest include AI, machine learning, data privacy and cryptography, and ethics in computing (with potential relevance to JP Morgan’s objectives). See below for complete guidelines. SCS can nominate *two* students in their 3rd/4th year. I will coordinate the process. An SCS-level committee will choose from among the nominations we receive. Advisors should send me nominations, as a *single* PDF file with three sections: (1) cv, (2) 2-page research summary, and (3) 2 reference letters. I am afraid that other file formats, or multiple PDF files, will not be considered. At most one nomination per advisor, please. Please observe that they ask for "potential impact on financial services" in the research summary, and say they will select based on "potential relevance to JP Morgan’s objectives". Applications are due to me by end-of-business on October 10th, 2018. thanks, --Anupam ================================================== JP Morgan PhD Fellowships JP Morgan has a long history of recruiting and developing quantitative professionals and is a leader in applying AI and Data Science tools to support its clients and businesses.
