What Nomistrus told Ganeth about Lessania before the balor mission
Lessania, aka the Swordwraith, aka the Rider, is a controversial
historical figure, with an "unorthdox approach to Good." She was
called the Swordwraith because weapons passed through her body as if
she was insubstantial (some training from extraplanars may be involved
here; Western lore only records that the extraplanars were Good).
Those who called her the Rider felt that her mount, the pegasus lord
Cirrus, was the more important of the two. Her sword produced burning
wounds that could not be extinguished. She was a champion (possibly a
Champion, possibly not) of Chaotic Good; she had problems with the
Council, through "her opinions were later proved correct."
Apparently, she requested information about the Balor from the High
Priest of Hollerith, but lied about the urgency of her request. She
misled the council into believing that it would be attacked by the
Balor and its minions, leading to a state of war; she was actually
planning to face it elsewhere. (I wonder what her opinions being
proved correct means in this context...) The priests of Truth were
not terribly happy about this, and this was where she ran into trouble
with the Council.
