Events post-awakening

During the period following Lessania's awakening, she and Ganeth were in constant mental contact. After the Shadowing lifted, G traveled to the Temple of the Wind, where the ki-rin put him on their altar to see what was going on; you can read about what they found at the end of the chaos source file. Ganeth also retrained Lessania up to second level.

Lessania planned to ride around in G's body, watch the goings on, and ask questions in the back of G's cranium, but she didn't say much after the start of the Nirduk vault intrigue. Shortly before the party took the demonic Lifeblood tree to Silverton, a astral shator hit G with some sort of gaze attack; he was unaffected, but Lessania started babbling incoherently, and G started distancing himself mentally in an effort to preserve his sanity. After G underwent a few weeks of analysis on the Hollerith altar, Nomistrus discovered that something had constructed some sort of cocoon around her and that the chaos source was pumping energy into her; he couldn't get much of a reading on her through the chrysalis, but she read as at least name level and did seem to be insane.

Some new anti-Chaos wards were installed into the evil body Ganeth was placed into by the Consortium, and it was impossible to determine Lessania's status inside it.

When Ganeth entered his third body, Nomistrus believed that Lessania and Ganeth started to integrate, thanks to either the crystal cocoon or the special snow used in the body's construction. There were no obvious signs of insanity, and Nomistrus speculated that it might eventually become possible for Lessania and Ganeth to act in concert.

Once Ganeth was incarcerated by the Alliance for Law, he learned from the ki-rin that he'd been bonded to Lessania (who is actually 12th level) for two main reasons. Since she was only a small shard of spirit, she would be able to absorb a lot of energy safely and slow down the escalating chaos source situation. And since she was a separate being, she'd provide a backup safety against uncontrolled release of the chaos energy -- both she and Ganeth would have to be incapacitated.

With the Shade Lord coming for G any day now, Lessania appears to figure prominently in most plans to prevent SL from achieving godhood.
