KIGALI, May 25 (AFP) - Rwanda's transitional national assembly has elected the members of a new independent human rights commission, assembly speaker Joseph Sebarenzi Kabuye told AFP on Tuesday. The development is in line with Rwanda's undertakings made after the July 1998 explusion of the United Nations Human Rights Commission from the central African country. "This commission is made up of seven people presided by Gasana Ndoba who has the rank of minister," the speaker explained. Gasana Ndoba, 51, is a human rights activist who enjoys a reputation for integrity and courage, according to the same source.
