SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, May 20 (AFP) - Isiah Rider scored a career playoff high 27 points here Thursday to lead Portland past Utah 84-81 and level their National Basketball Association quarter-final series. The best-of-seven matchup, now equal at 1-1, shifts to Portland for games Saturday and Sunday. "I don't think we played very good down the stretch but we had enough to pull it out," Rider said. Utah's John Stockton drove to the basket in the final seconds, but his bid for an equalizing layup bounced off the rim. Portland led 32-31 at half-time after the lowest scoring half in NBA playoff history. "We couldn't make a basket," Utah coach Jerry Sloan said. "We couldn't make a basket. They were beating us inside."
