BOSTON (Ticker) -- Boston Red Sox righthander Juan Pena, who was impressive in winning his first two major league starts, today was placed on the 15-day disabled list with with tightness in his pitching shoulder. The move is retroactive to Saturday, the day after Pena won his second start. He limited the Toronto Blue Jays to six hits over seven innings in a 5-0 victory. Pena, 21, made his big-league debut on May 8 and held the Anaheim Angels to one run and three hits through six innings in a 6-1 win. He had a 3-1 record with a 4.15 ERA in five games for Triple-A Pawtucket being recalled by Boston. The Red Sox recalled righthander Tim Harikkala from Pawtucket to take Pena's roster spot. Harikkala had a 3.18 ERA in five relief appearances for the Triple-A Red Sox.
