NL RECAP (ARIZONA-COLORADO) DENVER (Ticker) -- The Colorado Rockies have been slumbering in the daytime before Dante Bichette woke them up in a big way. Bichette hit a three-run homer off Gregg Olson to cap a four-run ninth inning as the Colorado Rockies rallied for a 7-6 victory over the Arizona Diamondbacks in the finale of a four-game series. Todd Helton hit a three-run homer in the fourth inning for the Rockies, who snapped a six-game losing streak in day contests by handing Olson his fifth blown save of the season. Neifi Perez opened the ninth with a single and went to second on a one-out single by Darryl Hamilton. Lenny Harris beat out a potential double-play grounder to put runners on first and third before Larry Walker singled to left to cut the deficit to 7-4. The hot-hitting Bichette belted a 1-2 pitch from Olson down the left-field line for the game-winner. Bichette smacked his eighth homer and has 11 hits in his last 21 at-bats. "I've given up on some of my at-bats this year, but I stayed with that one. It's just exciting," Bichette said. "It's every hitter's dream to be in that situation. If you don't want to be there, why even play this game?" It was the 13th time in club history that a Rockie ended a game with a home run, and the fifth time by Bichette. He last accomplished the feat May 31 against Houston. The Rockies won Friday's game on an 11th-inning homer by Walker. "They don't quit. These guys stay after it. It was an exciting comeback win," Rockies manager Jim Leyland said. "I've seen an awful lot from the other side, and I'd like to see more from this side." Chuck McElroy (2-0) recorded the final out in the top of the ninth for the win. Rockies starter Mark Brownson lasted only 4 1/3 innings, allowing five runs and eight hits. Jerry Dipoto stopped the bleeding, pitching 2 2/3 scoreless innings and working out of a jam in the fifth by walking Steve Finley to load the bases before retiring Kelly Stinnett and Andy Fox. "I went out there and I gambled. I gambled that I was going to get the next two guys out after Finley," Dipoto said. "You've got to designate a guy you are not going to let beat you." Finley and Luis Gonzalez each drove in two runs for the Diamondbacks, who completed a 3-4 road trip. David Dellucci of Arizona tied a career high with four hits and scored three times. Former Rockie Armando Reynoso appeared to be in position for the win after allowing three runs and six hits 6 2/3 innings. One of the hits was Helton's eighth homer in the fourth that cut the deficit to 4-3. "You have to be confident (with the bullpen). When this happens, it happens," Reynoso said. "They didn't get them today, but you can't think about it the next day." The Diamondbacks scored four times in the third with the help of an error by right fielder Walker. Fox was hit by a pitch to lead off and later scored when Walker booted a single by Tony Womack. Gonzalez singled home the second run of the inning and Finley followed later with a two-run single. Gonzalez, who had a 30-game hitting streak snapped earlier this week, drove in his second run of the game with a single in the fifth and Matt Williams added an RBI single in the ninth. It was the first time this season that Colorado rallied from a three-run deficit to win a game. --=-=--
