SPORTSTICKER NL PREVIEW (CHICAGO CUBS-ATLANTA) ATLANTA (Ticker) -- The Chicago Cubs try to start another winning streak this afternoon when they battle the Atlanta Braves in the finale of a four-game series. The Cubs had their five-game winning streak snapped Saturday with a 4-2 loss to the Braves, managing just one run in seven innings against Kevin Millwood. Chicago was held without a home run for the first time in 12 games. Terry Mulholland (2-1, 3.46 ERA) gets the call for the Cubs, who have won four of six meetings against the Cubs this season. He gave up one run and three hits over seven innings in his last outing, but did not get a decision in a 4-1 victory over Florida. Mulholland, who has not won since April 30 against San Diego, is 6-10 with a 4.84 ERA lifetime against the Braves. The Braves counter with Odalis Perez (2-1, 5.18), who has won his last two decisions. He surrendered two runs and eight hits over five innings on Tuesday in a 12-4 triumph over Pittsburgh. Atlanta is 5-1 in games Perez starts. Perez is making his first career appearance against the Cubs.
