JERSEY CITY, New Jersey (Ticker) -- Philadelphia fans hope Allen Iverson and the 76ers have the Indiana Pacers right where they want them in the Eastern Conference semifinals. The Pacers grabbed a 2-0 lead in the series with a four-point win on Monday and a three-point victory on Wednesday in Indiana. Tonight, the Sixers return home for the first time since Saturday, when they closed out their first-round series with a win over the Orlando Magic. They won both of their home games against the Magic. Iverson has led the Sixers in scoring in each playoff game and is averaging 29 points per game in this series. The regular-season scoring champion also leads all playoff scorers at 28.5 points per game. Iverson also leads all postseason performers with 3.0 steals per game. Indiana, with its balanced attack and discipline, is 5-0 in the playoffs after a sweep of the Milwaukee Bucks in the first round, but this is just its second game on the road. Reggie Miller, who is 34-of-36 (94.4 percent) from the foul line, leads the Pacers with 22.8 points per game with plenty of help from Mark Jackson, whose 9.8 assists rank second. Jackson and Sam Perkins have combined to make 14-of-23 (60.9 percent) of their 3-point attempts. Dale Davis adds 9.6 rebounds and Antonio Davis 7.6. Game Four is Sunday afternoon in Philadelphia. Should the Sixers win tonight, it would force a fifth game and shift the series back to Indiana on Wednesday. The Portland Trail Blazers proved Thursday night they can take a shot and bounce right back, while the New York Knicks continued to build on the momentum of a shot that took a fortunate bounce and dropped in against Miami. The Trail Blazers, who seemed to wilt after a lethal Karl Malone elbow to Brian Grant's jaw in a 93-83 loss in Game One on Tuesday, stood tall to the Utah Jazz's best blows down the stretch in Game Two. Isaiah Rider scored a postseason career-high 27 points and John Stockton's potential tying layup with two seconds left rolled out as the Blazers escaped with an 84-81 win to gain home-court advantage in the best-of-seven Western Conference semifinal. Games Three and Four are at the Rose Garden on Saturday afternoon and Sunday night. After Allan Houston's game-winning jumper beat the Heat on Sunday, the Knicks marched into Atlanta and took the first two games of their Eastern Conference semifinal series. Latrell Sprewell scored 31 points for a second straight game as the Knicks used a 21-4 run spanning the third and fourth quarters to post a 77-70 win over the Hawks on Thursday. The Knicks are 4-1 away from home during the playoffs and will host Games Three and Four at Madison Square Garden on Sunday afternoon and Monday night. The other series in the Western Conference resumes Saturday with Game Three in Los Angeles, where the Lakers host the San Antonio Spurs. The Spurs held home court in the first two games with wins by six and three points, respectively.
