MAITLAND, Fla., May 25 (UPI) -- A judge is expected to rule today on a Maitland man's request for permission to dress as a woman during his first-degree murder trial next month. The lawyer for 19-year-old Jabari Stephens says the clothing would be an integral part of Stephens' defense. Stephens is charged in the November murder and robbery of 43-year-old Daniel McGrew, who was found dead in his home. Autopsy reports show McGrew was shot in the mouth. The cross-dressing request says Stephens was dressed as a woman the night of the shooting and that having him dress as a woman during his trial is important to his defense. Detectives who searched Stephens' home after his arrest say they found photographs of him dressed as a woman.
