NICOSIA, May 22 (AFP) - The bodies of an Egyptian builder and his estranged Greek-Cypriot wife were found stabbed to death in a Nicosia flat in the early hours of Saturday morning in what police here believe was a crime of passion. Detectives believe Yasser Shakras, 35, murdered his estranged wife Eleni Antoniou, 34, before turning the weapon on himself. Police sources say they found the couple's former family home in the Nicosia suburb of Strovolos locked from the inside. And the state pathologist told public radio that there was evidence of a struggle between the couple. The private security firm for which Antoniou worked alerted her parents after she failed to turn up for work as usual as a security guard at the US embassy. It was they who found the couple's bodies and alerted police. Antoniou had two children by a previous marriage, the police sources told AFP.
