ROANOKE RAPIDS, N.C., May 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Roanoke Technology Corp. (OTC Bulletin Board: RAKE) announced that it exceeded its internal goals and projections for revenues for the first fiscal quarter ended March 31, 1999. Revenues increased 163% bolstered by solutions and services which provide small and large companies the tools to maximize the promotion of their businesses on the Internet. "We believe our Top-10 Promotions web site is the largest provider of Internet web site visibility reports, with more than 1 million unique user visits each month and attracting such high profile advertisers as Forbes Magazine, Glaxo Wellcome, and Pricewaterhouse," stated David Smith, President and C.E.O. of Roanoke. "We are on target for the summer release of our newest product, PC Beacon, which we anticipate will gain significant immediate market acceptance. This business-to-business service allows companies without a web site to establish a strong Internet presence and high E-commerce exposure," he added. "While our revenues are projected to increase by over 50% in 1999, we also intend to be profitable in 1999 and beyond," Smith concluded.
