TAIPEI, May 21 (AFP) - The Taiwan dollar rose 0.1 percent against the greenback Friday as the US currency lost ground on profit-taking, dealers said. The US trade deficit hitting a seven-year high in March also led the greenback to weaken, a dealer with a local bank said. The local unit closed at 32.790, after trading between 32.822 and 32.780, on a turnover of 357 million US dollars. It had finished at 32.825 in the previous session.
